Ozwater’09 will commence with the Welcome Cocktail Party at Melbourne Aquarium. Located on the banks of the Yarra River, Melbourne Aquarium is one of Melbourne’s premier tourist attractions. Four exciting and interactive levels bring visitors face-to-face with thousands of beautiful and exotic marine animals.
The Welcome Cocktail Party will be held in the Coral Atoll which boasts a stunning floor to ceiling Great Barrier Reef coral tank. Delegates will have access to the UV-lit sea jellies room, with many beautiful sea jellies on display and also the world famous Fish Bowl where delegates will be surrounded by hundreds of exotic marine animals, such as grey nurse, seven gill and gummy sharks, huge stingrays and green turtles.
Limited to the first 850 registrations. An alternative venue will be arranged for overflow registrations.

This networking opportunity will celebrate the first day of Ozwater ’09 conference sessions. All delegates with a full registration are welcome as guests of Ozwater ‘09 Exhibitors. Exhibition Drinks will be held in the Exhibition Hall on the southern bank of the river.

The Ozwater ‘09 Gala Dinner will be held in the Palladium Ballroom at Crown, a short stroll from MCEC. Beautifully refurbished in January 2006, the Palladium at Crown is Australia’s largest pillarless ballroom offering unrivalled glamour and style.
The evening will include a three course dinner, light entertainment and awards presentations including Undergraduate Water Prize, Australian Junior Stockholm Water Prize, Water Environment Award and the inaugural Chris Davis Award – the AWA Award for Outstanding Leadership and Contribution to the Water Industry.
